Remote Pilot Specialist (Freelance Contractor)

Location: Germany (Frankfurt-based preferred) with travel as required

Department: Flight Operations

Contract Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor

The Role

Skyports is seeking experienced Remote Pilot Specialists to support our growing Drone Services operations across Germany and Europe on a freelance basis.

This role goes far beyond piloting. We're looking for highly capable operators who can take ownership of complex missions, contribute to operational planning, and support the safe delivery of advanced drone operations across a variety of environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Operating cutting-edge drone platforms in support of commercial, industrial, and public-sector missions, including logistics, inspections, surveillance, emergency response, and maritime operations.
    • Assignments may range from local deployments in Germany to supporting operational activities elsewhere in Europe and internationally, depending on project requirements.
    • Conducting drone deliveries to offshore assets, supporting critical infrastructure inspections, assisting with environmental monitoring operations, or helping establish new flight operations in emerging markets.
    • Supporting mission planning, operational documentation, risk assessments, training activities, and regulatory compliance work remotely.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
