Remote Quality Assurance Rater - English (UK)

Senior Rater – AI and Search Quality Evaluation

Location: Fully remote (UK-based, residential for 5+ years) Compensation: £17.40/hour (paid by completed task)

Join our elite team of Senior Raters, playing a critical role in shaping the future of high-quality AI systems and search technologies by evaluating results and refining models used by some of the world’s leading hits data collection, quality assurance, and product improvement.


About the Role

This is a flexible, remote freelance opportunity for candidates with sharp analytical, research, and attention-to-detail skills. As a Quality Assurance Rater, you’ll regularly analyse and assess:

  • Search results for relevance, accuracy, and usefulness
  • AI-generated content to support algorithmic refinement
  • User feedback patterns and edge cases that contribute to improved AI behaviour

Your work will drive product development decisions, helping leading search engines and AI platforms deliver clearer, more reliable, and more human-centric results.

You’ll self-manage tasks in a structured, deadline-driven environment—ideal for experienced researchers, analysts, and detail-oriented professionals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess search results and AI outputs for:

    • Quality, accuracy, usefulness, and user-centric relevance
    • Adherence to international SEO/algorithm best practices (e.g. E-E-A-T)
    • Bias neutrality and cultural sensitivity in responses
  • Conduct in-depth online research to:

    • Cross-verify claims against authoritative sources
    • Identify factual inaccuracies or diminishing trends
    • Collect supplementary context for discount rate decisions
  • Evaluate content across diverse domains, including:

    • Current and historical events
    • Business, mainstream media, sports, scientific research
    • Social media trends, cultural developments
  • Provide structured documentation including:

    • Consistent rating rationales (precision and realism scoring)
    • Annotations for aspect inconsistency, age verification, or content appropriateness
    • Automated submission of findings and triennial review contributions

  • Teachability & Alignment:

    • Participate in quarterly qualitative “calibration” rounds to maintain guidance stability
    • Provide targeted feedback on guideline ambiguity or task optimisations
    • Collaborate with internal AI trainers to refine scoring frameworks
  • Quality Review & Feedback:

    • Resolve discrepancies with senior validity raters as needed
    • Adjust pX_hyperlink (“Doesn’t Answer”) flags and adjust discount rates (i.e. “Must be true” likelihood)

Basic Requirements

✅ Freelance or casual contract eligibility; no full-time commitments ✅ ** грамотность** (British, Australian, American or Irish English)

  • Long-term UK resident (5+ consecutive years)
  • Access to unrestricted internet (reliable broadband + computer-savvy payment methods)
  • Native or near-native command including appropriate nuance for feedback

Content Mastery & Adherence ▶Familiarity with real-world business, cultural or scientific knowledge as of Spring 2025 ▶Individual interpretation balanced by compliance with brand standards

Technical Workflow ▶Experience using web platforms (Chrome, Firefox, DuckDuckGo etc.)

  • Navigation through consecutive embeds and related subtasks ▶Thousands of singular evaluations/quarter (expect batch work with randomised syndication)

Soft & Logistics ▶Demonstrable decision-making under time pressure evidenced by past metrics or pX auraient examples (if informal experience) ▶Sales/Legal review may require full work verification such as portfolio or sample reports before hiring confirmation


Preferred Qualifications (Not Strictly Required)

🔹 Experience in AI training set monitoring, QA, crowskler ledgering, or automated fact-checking 🔹 Academic or working background in Journalism, Editing, Copy-writing, or Affiliated Librarian roles 🔹 Multi-language ability (German, Japanese) for certain confidential client projects 🔹 Subject expertise in STEM, Chemistry/Pharmaceuticals, AI/Public Policy, incentives/vertical content development
