Remote Salaried Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber)
About the Role Ortus Health is looking for a dedicated and experienced Independent Prescribing Remote Clinical Pharmacist to join our innovative healthcare team. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care and support to patients. There will be a breadth of work, with no two days being the same. There is a supporting cast around you of different staff types and different workstreams that we manage at Ortus Health. As a Remote Clinical Pharmacist, you will conduct medication reviews, provide clinical consultations, handle incoming documents, be involved in triage work (acute/repeat medication requests/sick notes) and work closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes. This role is ideal for a proactive pharmacist looking to make a significant impact in a supportive environment. The role comes fully remote by default, with some flexibility within core working hours. Key Responsibilities Conduct clinics in a remote primary care setting Comprehensive medication reviews for patients, focusing on safety, efficacy, and adherence. Handle Acute/Repeat Medication requests in incoming patient triage requests Manage incoming sick note requests (training can be provided if necessary) Meds reconciliation Look into any clinical queries/complaints raised by our practices involving any of the clinical work at Ortus. Involvement in onboarding of new practices Contribute to design of Ortus clinical pathways and protocols Stay updated with current pharmaceutical and clinical guidelines and contribute to the development of practice protocols. Leadership and management of the pharmacists at Ortus Health (recruitment, management and performance management - can grow into this role if not already capable). Qualifications Registered pharmacist with current GPhC registration. Confident Independent Prescriber, who also knows their limits. Desire to grow and learn. Experience working in primary care for at least 1 year. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaborative working. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. A commitment to improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Min 2 days a week, up to full time if available Opportunity to grow into the role in a fast paced environment Laptop Provided Salary £45k-55k dependent on experience Work From Home 5.6 Weeks AL (pro rata)
