Social Media Content Creator – Animal Welfare Initiative (Remote)

The successful candidate will elevate the digital presence of a animal welfare initiative, managing and growing its social media channels across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. They will create compelling short-form video narratives from supplied footage, ensuring emotional engagement and driving donor support across the US, India, and globally.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the full content lifecycle—from ideation to posting—while refining the organization's storytelling ethos to forge deep emotional connections. The role demands creativity, technical skill, and cross-platform expertise to amplify awareness and action for animal welfare.


Deliverables

  • Develop and execute platform-specific content calendars tailored to maximize engagement.
    • Edit and produce high-impact short-form video content from provided footage.
    • Ensure all content aligns with platform best practices to maximize visibility, engagement, and shareability.
  • Write and post captions and accompanying social media content across all targeted channels.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on content performance metrics (impressions, shares, engagement rates, donor conversions).
    • Use insights to refine strategies for future campaigns.
  • Collaborate on creative concepts and narratives to strengthen emotional resonance between the brand and donors.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging across all platforms.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, outcome-driven role focused on storytelling, analytics, and strategic execution. The ideal candidate will blending creative vision, technical proficiency, and empathy to serve a mission they care about.


Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for nonprofits, brands, or organizations, prioritizing high-quality video content.
  • Strong video editing skills, with proficiency in:
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Final Cut Pro
    • CapCut/Vov/InShot (for short-form platforms like YouTube Shorts & Instagram Reels)
  • Ability to craft narratives and captions that captivate diverse audiences across cultures (e.g., US, India).
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track KPIs and enhance performance.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management to handle multiple platforms and tight deadlines.
  • A deep passion for animal welfare and a proven ability to communicate relatability and urgency through digital storytelling.
  • Experience engaging international audiences is a plus.
  • Willingness to operate in a global, remote-first environment with flexible hours.
