Contracts Manager

📍 Cardiff

💷 £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

We're looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple retrofit and energy efficiency contracts, leading projects from tender stage through to successful delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness, project management experience and a proven ability to lead teams while building excellent client relationships.

The Role

  • Manage contracts from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Lead bid writing, tender submissions and PQQ responses.
  • Monitor KPIs, profitability and operational performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Coordinators.
  • Manage contract compliance, commercial performance and risk.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous Contracts Management experience within retrofit, construction, energy efficiency or a similar sector.
  • A strong track record of writing successful bids and tenders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and contracts simultaneously.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience.
  • The ability to analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of PAS 2035/2030, ECO4, GBIS, TrustMark or MCS.
  • Experience mobilising new contracts.
  • Experience working within social housing or retrofit frameworks.
  • Relevant construction, project management or retrofit qualifications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
