Renewable Energy Underwriter
Location: Surrey / London / Hybrid Salary: Up to £65,000
Pavilion Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a specialist underwriting business seeking a Renewable Energy Underwriter. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly launched product line, working closely with an established industry expert to help shape and grow the proposition.
This role offers the chance to make a real impact, build broker relationships, influence product development, and play a key part in the long-term growth strategy of a specialist renewable energy portfolio.

The Role
- Underwrite new renewable energy business across the UK and Northern Ireland.
- Manage incoming broker enquiries and develop strong intermediary relationships.
- Assess complex and non-standard risks, ensuring robust underwriting decisions.
- Support broker meetings, business development activity, and portfolio growth.
- Contribute to ongoing product development and underwriting strategy.

About You
- 2+ years’ experience within renewable energy underwriting (ideally 3–5 years).
- Experience in new business underwriting and broker development.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to assess complex risks.
- Underwriter or broker background with experience handling specialist commercial risks.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong broker relationships.
