Renewables Supervisor

Role Overview

Lead the delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects as our Renewables Supervisor. You’ll:

  • Oversee field teams
  • Ensure safe and efficient maintenance of solar and other low-carbon technologies
  • Drive operational excellence across our growing portfolio

This role blends hands-on technical leadership with planning, problem-solving, and mentoring. Perfect for someone ready to shape the future of sustainable energy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Field Management

    • Be the first point of contact for field teams in your region/area
  • Complaints & Escalation

    • Review complaints and present resolutions and actions to clients
  • Parts Referrals

    • Review and action referrals from different sources and instruct on surveys required
  • Technical Advisory

    • Find solutions to field-related issues and ensure installations remain online
    • Maintain high quality and standards
  • Quoting & Costing

    • Estimate works using calculators and/or Standard Operating Rules (SOR)
    • Ensure costs align with departmental margins and expectations

  • Job Tracking & Visibility

    • Monitor repair statuses
    • Maintain visibility of jobs and statuses
    • Escalate stuck jobs if Service Level Agreements (SLA) are not met
  • Pipeline & Capacity Planning

    • Track upcoming and future jobs
    • Establish capacity to deliver efficiently
  • WorksScope Review

    • Review installation job notes and extender action notes
    • Clarify incomplete work during installation
  • Quality & Reporting (Q/A)

    • Review surveyor reports after completion
    • Identify trends where standards are not met
  • Financial Reporting

    • Track number of completed installations per client
    • Report weekly total figures
  • Client Communication

    • Update clients on job statuses, quotations, and bookings
    • Warn of potential challenges for installations
  • Performance Management

    • Review and manage departmental performance
    • Report improvement areas or repeated issues to line managers
  • Team Leadership

    • Line manage field and admin staff
    • Ensure performance expectations meet SLA targets

Skills & Experience

Legal & Certifications (Essential)

  • Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
  • Part L certification (essential)
  • Valid UK driving licence

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience managing teams (essential)
  • Experience within social housing (desirable)
  • Technical understanding of renewable systems and energy efficiency
  • Experience designing domestic and commercial energy efficiency solutions
  • Knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards
