Rent and Service Charge Manager
£56,650 per year
Hybrid - Boston, Peterborough or Milton Keynes

Do you have experience managing rent and service charge processes within housing?
As a Rent and Service Charge Manager at Amplius, you’ll be responsible for leading our rent and service charge activities, supporting compliance, improving processes and providing valuable insight. You’ll work with teams across the organisation to ensure we deliver accurate and transparent services for customers.

Permanent, full time
Your week:
36.25 hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm
Location:
Hybrid with a weekly presence in our Boston, Peterborough or Milton Keynes office depending on business needs.
Snapshot of your role
- Produce and manage the annual rent and service charge plan, making sure charges are accurate and meet regulatory requirements.
- Oversee annual rent and service charge review notifications, working with colleagues to provide clear and easy-to-understand information for customers.
- Lead the setting, monitoring and review of service charges across all tenures, ensuring charges are accurate, transparent and offer value for money.
- Approve service charge budgets and oversee the production of leasehold, homeownership, right to buy and variable service charge accounts within required deadlines.
- Manage rent re-let checks, maintain effective financial controls, and deal with customer queries about rent and service charges.
- Work closely with operational teams to provide financial information, forecasts and reporting that support performance and decision-making.
- Lead and develop the Rent and Service Charge Team, ensuring strong performance, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role
- AAT qualification.
- Experience of rent planning, analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of rent and service charge processes, including budget setting and account production.
- Good understanding of the Rent Standard and service charge legislation.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Good problem-solving skills, financial awareness, and the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills, with a proactive approach and high standards of integrity and professionalism.
