Driver/Valeter – Rental Department (Wolverhampton Branch) – Arnold Clark

Hours

This is a full-time role requiring 45 hours per week, with shifts falling five days out of seven and alternative weekends.


About the Role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of our vehicle fleet. This hands-on, team-oriented role is perfect for someone who thrives in a physically demanding environment with a keen eye for detail and a passion for teamwork.

Day-to-Day Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to an exceptional standard
  • Operating machinery, such as high-powered pressure washers, vacuums, and polishing/buffing systems to enhance vehicle condition
  • Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and other branches
  • Adhering to health & safety procedures, particularly when handling chemicals
  • Ensuring all tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained, secure, and compliant with manufacturer instructions
  • Reporting any defects and following PPE recommendations
  • Meeting set timeframes and targets while completing a daily work record

Essential Requirements

All candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Demonstrate an exceptionally high level of attention to detail
  • Possess self-motivation with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Have the ability to multi-task and remain focused under pressure
  • Show enthusiasm for participating in training programs

While valet experience is preferred, Arnold Clark welcomes motivated candidates willing to commit to training. All new valet staff are required to attend the Valet Academy, where key skills will be developed.
