Infrastructure & Renewal Specialist – Demand Management & Network Infrastructure Team

About the Role
Water is life. At M Group, we help safeguard essential supplies, meet environmental standards, and adapt infrastructure for future generations. Our demand management and network infrastructure teams manage 60 million meters worldwide, delivering advanced solutions to optimise water distribution.
Now we need skilled utility operatives to help safeguard our clean water networks. This is a hands-on role across pipe repair, maintenance, and installation, with stand-by availability.
Key Responsibilities
As part of a two-person team, your core duties will include:
- Excavation work – Following Redbook and HSG47 Guidelines for digging in highways and public spaces before pipework.
- Pipe repair and installation – Installing, repairing, and maintaining clean water network assets.
- Mobile working – Adherence to health & safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Standby & overtime – Availability for shift work as required.

What You’ll Need
Before applying, please check if you meet these essential criteria:
- Technical Qualifications:
- EUSR NWH Assessor Membership (preferred)
- Minimum of EUSR X 5 Mandatory Courses (e.g. N104, N105, N106, R100, XS104)
- Experience:
- Proven experience in utility/buried asset network work (water, wastewater preferred)
- Personal Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence (manual preferred)
- Competency with digital tools (laptops, tablets, mobile communication systems)
