Location

Based in Upminster, Essex

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range: £31,000–£37,000 (subject to experience)
  • Bonus: £4,000–£8,000 commission

The Role

As a Garage Door Repair Engineer at Access Garage Doors, you’ll be a skilled professional responsible for repairing garage doors and associated products at residential properties.

What You’ll Do

  • Repair all types of garage doors and related products
  • Diagnose faults and identify suitable repair solutions
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and adjustments
  • Deliver excellent customer service on-site
  • Complete job records and paperwork
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Provide assistance to installation teams as required
    • Note: This role involves manual handling and heavy lifting.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Practical manual skills and strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
  • Full UK driving licence (no more than 3 points allowed)

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in garage doors, construction, builders’ merchants, home improvements, or trade-related roles
  • Experience with servicing, maintenance, or repairs
  • Experience working in customers’ homes
  • Mechanical or engineering background (e.g. roller shutter, window/door installation, glazing, automatic gates, lift engineering, appliance repairs, or locksmithing)

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
