Garage Door Repair Engineer
Location: Based in Sidcup, Kent
About the Role
Salary range of £31–37k subject to experience plus £4–8k commission through price work rates.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Repair Engineer at our Sidcup branch. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be responsible for repairing garage doors and associated products, primarily at residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
- Repairing garage doors and associated products
- Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate repair solutions
- Servicing, maintenance, and adjustments of equipment
- Providing excellent on-site customer service
- Completing job records and relevant paperwork
- Maintaining the company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Assisting the installation team as required
This is a hands-on role involving manual handling and heavy lifting.
Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Strong practical manual skills and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated approach
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
- Full UK driving licence (maximum of 3 penalty points)

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in garage doors, construction, builders’ merchants, home improvements, or trade-related industries
- Experience in servicing, maintenance, or repair work
- Experience working in customers’ homes
- Mechanical or engineering background
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7.30am – 5pm
