Repair Technician

Kinetic Industrial are looking for an experienced Electrical Repair Technician to work for a leading global supplier of safety components and solutions to the railway industry. This is a permanent position, where you will be required to work Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, and Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.
Role:
- Setting up and testing electronic equipment and devices
- Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and refurbishing electronic products
- Identifying and resolving faults on electronic circuit boards
- Using a range of testing equipment to inspect and assess products
- Replacing electronic components and carrying out board-level repairs
- Soldering and de-soldering electronic components
- Identifying issues during testing and resolving them efficiently
- Recording test results and reporting any faults or further repairs required
- Reading and following technical drawings, diagrams, and repair instructions
- Maintaining stock of parts, components, and tools
- Taking part in training to develop technical skills and product knowledge
- Suggesting improvements to processes and ways of working
- Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment regulations

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or as an Electrical Repair Technician
- Completed exams in Electronics (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- Excellent English skills (speaking, reading and writing) are mandatory
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office
Details:
- Salary - £28,000 to £32,000 per annum DOE (plus bonuses)
- Hours - Mon to Thurs: 7:30am to 3:30pm, Fri: 7:30am to 1:30pm (with some flexibility)
