Repair Technician (Electrical)
Job Description
Kinetic Industrial is looking for a Repair Technician (Electrical Bias) for one of our leading global suppliers of safety components and solutions. They have a strong name in this industry and due to continuous growth, they need to employ a permanent technician to complement the established team in Middleton.
Responsibilities
As the electrically biased Repair Technician, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repairing and refurbishing industrial electronic equipment
- Fault finding to component and board level
- Setting up and testing electronic systems and devices
- Using a range of test equipment confidently and accurately
- Repairing or replacing components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors, and ICs
- Soldering and desoldering to a high standard
- Recording and interpreting test data to assess condition and next steps
- Reading and understanding technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Maintaining stock and inventory
- Attending training workshops to support ongoing development
- Identifying improvements to internal processes
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly
Requirements
Along with your confidence and reliability, we need the new Repair Technician to have:
- Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or Electrical Repair Technician
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings
- Electronics qualifications are beneficial, however, practical experience is fine
- Strong English skills (spoken, written, and reading) due to H&S
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Confident using MS Office

Practical Information
- Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE
- Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 3:30pm, Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm
- Role: Permanent with genuine progression opportunities
- Working Environment: Friendly, supportive working environment
