Repair Technician (Electrical)

Job Description

Kinetic Industrial is looking for a Repair Technician (Electrical Bias) for one of our leading global suppliers of safety components and solutions. They have a strong name in this industry and due to continuous growth, they need to employ a permanent technician to complement the established team in Middleton.

Responsibilities

As the electrically biased Repair Technician, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing and refurbishing industrial electronic equipment
  • Fault finding to component and board level
  • Setting up and testing electronic systems and devices
  • Using a range of test equipment confidently and accurately
  • Repairing or replacing components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors, and ICs
  • Soldering and desoldering to a high standard
  • Recording and interpreting test data to assess condition and next steps
  • Reading and understanding technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
  • Maintaining stock and inventory
  • Attending training workshops to support ongoing development
  • Identifying improvements to internal processes
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly

Requirements

Along with your confidence and reliability, we need the new Repair Technician to have:

  • Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or Electrical Repair Technician
  • Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings
  • Electronics qualifications are beneficial, however, practical experience is fine
  • Strong English skills (spoken, written, and reading) due to H&S
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Confident using MS Office

  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 3:30pm, Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm
  • Role: Permanent with genuine progression opportunities
