Job Title: Repair Technician
Job Type: Permanent
Kinetic Industrial are looking for an experienced Electrical Repair Technician to work for a leading global supplier of safety components and solutions to the railway industry. This is a permanent position, where you will be required to work Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, and Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.
Role:
- Setting up electronic systems and devices
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing industrial electronic equipment
- Troubleshooting electronic circuits to component and board level and effectively identifying failures
- Familiar with and able to utilise different types of test equipment
- Repairing and/or replacing electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits
- Isolating problems between the test environment, the units under test and resolving as necessary
- Ability to solder and desolder
- Recording and interpreting test data to determine condition and determine when further analysis is needed
- Ability to recognise various electronic components and their functions
- Reading and comprehending complex manuals and diagrams
- Maintaining inventory
- Attending regular training workshops
- Identifying potential areas for improvement of internal processes and procedures
- Ensuring that all tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or as an Electrical Repair Technician
- Completed exams in Electronics (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- Excellent English skills (speaking, reading and writing) are mandatory
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of MS Office
Details:
- Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 per annum DOE
- Hours: Mon to Thurs: 7:30am to 3:30pm, Fri: 7:30am to 1:30pm (with some flexibility)
