We are seeking an experienced Repairs Surveyor with a strong understanding of property maintenance and building pathology.
The role will involve carrying out property inspections, diagnosing defects, and overseeing responsive repairs across a social housing portfolio. You will be responsible for specifying works, managing contractors, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

The right individual will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience working within social housing or housing associations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out property inspections to diagnose repair issues and defects.
- Specify and oversee responsive repair works from start to completion.
- Manage contractors and monitor performance and quality of works.
- Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, works, and progress updates.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety and housing standards.

Job Criteria
- Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, or local authorities.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance and property defects.
- Experience managing responsive repairs and contractor performance.
- Ability to diagnose building issues and specify remedial works.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
