Reporting Account

Location: Remote/Initial travel to Chesterfield site for 2 months, 2 days/week

About the Role

We're looking for a Reporting Accountant to join our growing Logistics Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career, with a clear progression path to a Finance Manager role as the team expands.

Supporting logistics operations with an annual turnover of around £140m across 21 UK sites, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, balance sheet control, cost management and providing insightful management information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end reporting, including journals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and KPI reporting.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Support logistics cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage Asset Under Construction (AUC) records and fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist with capital expenditure reporting and purchase order approvals.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support audit requirements.
  • Partner with operational teams to improve processes and provide financial insight.

About You

Ideally you will have an accounting background and are part qualified within your ACCA or CIMA qualifications.

Key Skills

  • At least 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience with month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and SAP experience.
  • Highly organised with excellent analytical and communication skills.
