Job Description
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and presenting business data to support informed decision-making across the organisation. The role involves developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. The Reporting Analyst works closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights that improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance operational and management reports.
- Design and build interactive dashboards using business intelligence tools.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Produce regular KPI reports for business stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems.
- Work with business teams to gather reporting requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Support ad hoc reporting and analytical requests.
- Investigate data discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Document reporting processes, data definitions, and reporting standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to reporting and analytics.
- Support data governance and compliance with organisational policies.

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience in a Reporting Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of ETL processes.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
- Understanding of database structures and relational databases.
- Experience working within Agile project environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud data platforms.
