We are hiring a Reporting Analyst Assistant

We are hiring a Reporting Analyst Assistant to support our team on a major engagement with a London-based financial services firm. This role is built for a junior professional who values order and clarity over complexity. You will help us maintain the rhythms and records that keep a large-scale project moving smoothly. This is a permanent, full-time position that is entirely remote, allowing you to work from your preferred home setting while contributing to a high-standard advisory practice.

About the role

At Olive Tree Consulting, we believe that memory is not a management system. When we work with clients, especially within the context of a London-based financial services group, our job is to reduce the friction that prevents teams from executing their strategy. The Reporting Analyst Assistant exists to ensure that our advisory work is backed by accurate, timely, and plain-spoken records. You will be the person who makes sure that the data we rely on is clean, that our weekly reports are consistent, and that the small but important details of our management rhythms are never lost.

This is an entry-level position where you will be mentored by experienced consultants. You will see how decisions are made at the leadership level and learn how to translate complex project updates into clear, readable information. The work is steady and requires a calm, methodical approach to information management. Because this role is fully remote, we rely on clear written communication and a high degree of personal reliability to keep our internal team and our clients updated.

What you will do

  • Gather weekly status updates from various team leads and compile them into a centralized project log.
  • Maintain and update internal spreadsheets that track the progress of specific management goals.
  • Draft summarized notes from internal planning sessions, focusing on clear ownership and next steps.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting decks, ensuring all charts and tables are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor recurring meeting schedules to ensure that all necessary pre-read materials are distributed to the right people.
  • Audit digital project folders to ensure that files are named correctly and stored in the proper locations.
  • Verify data points against source documents to catch any inconsistencies before they reach the client.
  • Flag potential delays or missing information to the lead consultants to ensure project timelines are respected.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Olive Tree Consulting

Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth.

We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
