Job Title: Reporting Engineer Duration: 6 months+ Workload: Full-time hours Setup: Hourly rate PAYE contracting inside IR35 Rate: £44.50 p / hour with holiday pay and pension on top Location: Warrington (3 days onsite) with travel to Cumbria
We’re looking for Reporting Engineers to design and deliver data-driven reporting solutions that turn complex project data into actionable insights within a Project Controls environment.
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain reporting systems, databases, and dashboards Analyse complex datasets to produce clear, actionable insights for stakeholders Develop visualisations using Power BI and other reporting tools Create project control outputs such as Gantt charts, S-curves, and manpower histograms Collaborate with engineering, PMO, and data teams to define reporting requirements Optimise reporting solutions for performance, accuracy, and usability Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to reporting systems

Must-Have Skills: Strong Power BI expertise and advanced Excel skills Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis Experience in Project Controls / PMO environments (Energy sector preferred) Ability to develop dashboards, visualisations, and reporting frameworks Solid understanding of baseline management and project reporting metrics Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice-to-Have: Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, or similar platforms PMP or equivalent certification Experience across Oil & Gas, Nuclear, or Renewables UK Security Clearance (or eligibility)
