About the Role: Equity Research Analyst

Location: UK

Division: Institutional Banking & Investment Services

We are seeking an Equity Research Analyst to produce high-conviction, differentiated research on Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology companies for institutional investors.

In this role, you will:

  • Combine scientific understanding with rigorous financial analysis to generate:
    • Actionable investment views
    • Support for client engagement
  • Contribute to a best-in-class research franchise

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Create and publish proprietary equity research on Pharma and Biotech coverage, including:

    • Stock ratings
    • Research across macro, industry, and corporate levels Translating scientific/clinical developments into investment implications
    • Development and maintenance of:
      • Financial models
      • Valuation analyses
    • Generation of investment ideas and timely commentary around catalysts, such as:
      • Trial readouts
      • Regulatory decisions
      • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
      • Earnings
      • Policy changes

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant experience in:
    • Equity research

    • Investment analysis

    • A closely related field, such as:

      • Healthcare investing
      • Strategy
      • Consulting
      • Corporate finance
      • Scientific/devops or clinical roles with some market exposure
