Our mission is to build a future we can trust by delivering cutting-edge technology for security, stability, and social value to the UK.

About the Role

Join Thales Research & Technology (TRT), a dynamic hub of innovation, where you’ll contribute to groundbreaking research, develope rapid proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrators, and shape the future of defence, security, and security solutions. Here, you’ll explore cutting-edge technologies, work on diverse projects, and leverage hands-on skills in software development, prototyping, and system integration. Whether assessing new electronic architectures, enhancing IoT/cyber-physical systems, or easing wear/tear on complex systems, your work will have a tangible impact on tomorrow’s capabilities.

  • Support technical experimentation, trials, and demonstrations for validating innovative approaches.
  • Conduct feasibility studies through analysis, rapid prototyping, and experimental evaluation.

  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, taking ownership of research tasks and adapting to evolving challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
