About the Role:
The Applications Scientist will play a key role in supporting research and development efforts, focusing on the expansion of existing coating chemistries and advancing projects in emerging applications. This position will work closely with the R&D team to drive new product development, technical evaluation, and market-focused innovations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct practical lab-based work in support of ongoing and new R&D projects.
- Test and analyse a range of substrates and materials used in membrane purification and separation technologies.
- Contribute to the development of surface treatment methods and evaluate results for product enhancement.
- Conduct literature and market research to support R&D programs and track emerging trends.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including SOPs, process development reports, and tech transfer documents.
- Plan and execute project timelines, collaborating with internal and external teams on membrane technologies.
- Operate laboratory equipment and train team members on new processes as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced degree in chemistry (PhD), or at least 2 years of industry experience.
- Experience in polymeric membrane development and membrane separation processes.
- Hands-on experience in organic chemistry, synthesis, coating development, or formulation.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a solid understanding of chemical characterisation techniques.
- Experience in a fast-paced, early-stage start-up environment is advantageous.
- Ability to manage independent work streams and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
