Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 24 months in the first instance.
Applications are invited for a full-time Research Assistant to join BRIDGE, a five-year, €2 million European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant led by Dr Davide Luca, investigating urban-rural political polarisation.
The successful candidate will join an international and interdisciplinary research team comprising the Principal Investigator, Project Manager, two Research Fellows and a Research Assistant, and will support the delivery of innovative research examining the causes and consequences of urban-rural divides. The team also hosts international academic visitors throughout the duration of the project.
The post holder will provide research support across all strands of the project, working closely with the Principal Investigator and Research Fellows on a range of research activities. Responsibilities are likely to include:

- Supporting quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
- Undertaking literature reviews
- Assisting with the management and organisation of research data
- Contributing to the wider activities of the BRIDGE project
The position is full-time with flexible working arrangements and is available on a fixed-term basis for 24 months. The role is particularly suited to candidates seeking to develop a career in research and would provide an excellent opportunity for individuals wishing to build research experience as a foundation for future doctoral study.
