Research Associate
Research Associate, Patient-Centered Outcomes
Location: Bollington, Cheshire, UK

The Patient-Centered Outcomes (PCO) team specialises in the selection, development, validation, and application of Patient-Reported Outcome measures (PROs) and Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA). - Supporting clients in choosing, designing, and validating COAs for clinical trials or real-world practice.
- Ensuring these measures effectively evaluate patient experiences and assess treatment benefits.
What we are looking for:
Ideal candidates are entry-level Research Associates passionate about advancing patient-centred research in a fast-moving field. You will bring:
- A degree (BSc, MSc, or equivalent) in:
- Health psychology
- Psychology
- Psychological research methods
- Sociology, or
- Life sciences
- Desirable but non-essential: Relevant work experience in research or healthcare settings.

Essential skills and experience:
- Knowledge of literature review methodology and qualitative/quantitative analysis.
- Familiarity with research design, including:
- Data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination
- Basic experience (desirable) with questionnaire development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to demonstrate organisation, self-motivation, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Team player with an appetite for dynamic, collaborative environments.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Your responsibilities may include:
- Leading and contributing to studies on the selection, development, and psychometric validation of COAs.
- Supporting a range of research activities:
- Conducting literature reviews.
- Developing study protocols and statistical analysis plans.
- Preparing study documentation for ethical reviews.
- Recruiting and interviewing participants.
- Analysing data and reporting findings.
- Drafting posters, conference abstracts, and journal manuscripts.
- Preparing for multitasking, given our portfolio of concurrent projects—critical skills include clear communication and organisational adeptness.
