Research Associate – Executive Search

London | Hybrid Working

An established, highly respected executive search and recruitment consultancy is looking to hire a Research Associate to join its Senior Finance practice.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in executive search, working alongside experienced consultants on senior finance and corporate leadership appointments across FTSE-listed businesses, private equity-backed companies, and high-growth organizations. The firm has a long-standing reputation in the market, an impressive employee retention record, and a genuine commitment to developing researchers into consultants.

The Role

As a Research Associate, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of executive search assignments, including:

  • Market mapping and identifying senior talent across target organizations
  • Headhunting and engaging passive candidates
  • Conducting candidate screening interviews and assessments
  • Supporting both retained and contingent search assignments
  • Producing candidate reports, market insights, and shortlist documentation
  • Coordinating interview processes and maintaining candidate relationships
  • Working closely with experienced consultants throughout each assignment
  • Developing expertise within finance, corporate development, and broader commercial markets

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
