Role: Research Engineer - Electrical, Mechanical & Chemical (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $80 - $90/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a PhD Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) to work on a contract basis. The role involves developing and optimizing advanced engineering solutions across multiple disciplines to support high-impact projects. Candidates will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges in a remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, and validate electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems based on project requirements
- Conduct theoretical modeling and experimental validation to ensure system performance and reliability
- Develop and refine algorithms or processes to enhance efficiency and scalability of engineering solutions
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and optimization recommendations for existing systems

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Proven experience in applied research, system design, or process optimization in relevant engineering domains
- Strong proficiency in simulation tools such as COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB, or SPICE
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical, scalable engineering solutions
- Experience with data analysis, statistics, and experimental design methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder updates
