Research Enhancement Manager

LUMS - Faculty Office

Location: Bailrigg, Lancaster, UK

Salary: £39,906 to £46,049 (Full-Time/Fixed-Term/Secondment)

We are seeking to appoint a Research Enhancement Manager to provide essential support to Lancaster University Management School.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Faculty Operations and Associate Deans for Research, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the further development of a dynamic and collegiate research environment at Lancaster University Management School and its Research Centres
  • Preparation for, and management of, the LUMS REF submission
  • Managing LUMS research support colleagues
  • Ensuring close partnership work with the Research and Enterprise Services and faculty research support teams to ensure a smooth interface and seamless research support for our academic community
  • Supporting internal and external communications liaising closely with Marketing and Business Engagement teams to ensure maximum impact from our world-leading research

To succeed in this role you need to have, or be able to quickly develop, a solid understanding of the business and management research landscape, the research process and the REF; a proven track record in data analysis and research/project management, and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will also be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.
