An exciting opportunity to join the Council's Business Intelligence Service on a permanent basis, focusing on intelligence related to public health and related areas.
About the Role
To support the provision of high-quality business intelligence relating to the strategic planning and commissioning of public health related activities within the council, through applying research, insight, data management, data quality, statistical and data presentation skills.
- Support the provision of strategic insight, advice and challenge by developing and sustaining effective working relationships (including with other departments and partners).
- Review, manipulate and cleanse data and provide high quality analysis and statistical information, including reports and dashboards.
- To support the implementation of the Council's Business Intelligence Strategy.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
- Have a relevant degree or equivalent level of experience in business intelligence;
- Experience working in a research and insight or performance management environment and researching specific issues and managing and analysing data;
- Skills in presenting data and information using a variety of IT packages;
- Providing high quality, accurate reports, dashboards and presentations for a variety of audiences;
- Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies and their use;
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines across projects and to multiple managers;
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team, and commitment to understanding health inequalities across different communities.
