MORE ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Research Manager to join the Nectar Research team and play a key role in delivering high-quality research for Nectar360, Sainsbury's and our partners. You'll take ownership of end-to-end research projects, leading everything from research design and methodology selection through to questionnaire development, project management, quality assurance, insight generation, and client debriefs.
This is a highly varied role where no two projects are the same. You'll work across a broad mix of research approaches, helping stakeholders answer important business questions and turning data into compelling stories that influence decisions. Alongside delivering projects, you'll contribute to the team's innovation agenda, exploring new methodologies, technologies and ways of working, including how AI can enhance the research process. You'll also lead in proposal development, build deep internal and external relationships to find new ways to support our clients, and share your expertise across the wider team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
