Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust is looking to appoint a Research Registrar in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Applications are sought from a higher surgical trainee in Otolaryngology in the UK to perform a period of research at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust.
This post incorporates some operating and clinics and take part in on-call rota. The applicant should apply to register for a PhD at Imperial College London. It is the intention that the research will lead to the award of a PhD.
Title
Integration and validation of artificial Intelligence into upper aerodigestive endoscopy.
This research will critically appraise the potential of utilising AI in endoscopic machine learning, training as well as diagnostics and assessment of upper aerodigestive tract tumours.

- Work alongside computer science post graduate students within the same project area.
- Take part in recruitment for ongoing trials.
- Engage in the department teaching programme.
- Maintain all aspects of good medical practice, such as audit and service improvements.
Clinical Role
- Maintain clinical and surgical skills.
- Be part of the ENT clinical team focused on the diagnosis and treatment of ENT conditions, particularly head and neck cancer.
On-Call Commitments
- Participate in the ENT SpR on-call rota 1:7.
- Serve as the "Hot" registrar of the week.
