Research Scientist, AI Verification

Research Scientist, AI Verification

Meta is looking for Research Scientists to join our AI Verification team. For these positions, we look for people with experience in model training or agentic AI to complement the verification expertise in our team. The candidate will have hands-on experience in building trustworthy and reliable AI models and agents, including:

  • Designing comprehensive evaluation benchmarks
  • Optimizing training processes
  • Ensuring high-quality data pipelines

The candidate will help create and evaluate data and environments for training ML models, as well as design benchmarks to judge agents and models.

The overall focus of the team is to:

  • Use formal program verification to make AI better (safer, more reliable)
  • Use AI to enhance formal verification (making it more feasible)

These ML roles will be pivotal in connecting symbolic verification to neural AI—bridging the gap between symbolic reasoning and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, collaborate, and execute research advancing state-of-the-art AI reasoning and verification
  • Partner with verification experts within the team and collaborate with ML and agentic AI experts across Meta’s research teams
  • Work toward long-term ambitious research goals, while identifying achievable milestones
  • Contribute to experiments by:
    • Designing experimental details
    • Implementing reusable code
    • Running evaluations for AI models/agents
  • Play a role in publications and open-sourcing initiatives
  • Mentor team members and collaborate across functions to:
    • Align on research goals
    • Deliver consistent results

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
