The Opportunity
As a Research Specialist, you are a vitally important part of the global Research & Business Intelligence team and deliver a core service to our internal Ashurst Perkins Coie people.
You will use a range of research resources to provide in-depth and solution-focused legal and company research to legal and business services teams within Ashurst Perkins Coie's offices in the UK, EMEA, US, and Asia Pacific regions.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Provide reference and research advice and support to internal and external clients as part of a global research team, using a range of subscription and freely available resources.
- Deliver legal and business research solutions to enable internal clients to quickly make informed decisions.
- Co-ordinate, create, and deliver research skills training to a range of user groups.
- Proactively identify, scope, and work with the current awareness team to set up alerts on legal, client, and industry topics.
- Contribute to collection development activities including participation in product trials, product reviews, and the rollout of new products to users.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging search techniques and technologies, including AI, and the implications for legal and business research strategies.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders in your region and promote the Research & Business Intelligence team and its role within the firm.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated research skills, with at least 4 years' experience in a legal or professional services environment.
- Sophisticated skills in using online resources and knowledge of products available in the wider legal information marketplace.
- Understanding of the UK legal system.
- Experience in creating and delivering research skills training, and in creating content for internal websites and communication tools.
- Ability to keep up to date with new resources, new technology, and research tools available in the legal and business research sector.
