Researcher (Animated Series)
Freelance Junior Researcher – Children’s Mixed-Media Series
We’re setting up for a mixed-media children’s series, produced by 3Megos, focusing on the environment, climate change, and sustainability. We are looking for a freelance junior researcher to support our team.
About the Role
As a researcher, you will work across multiple episodes, collaborating with script writers, editors, and designers to source factually accurate stock materials and gather image references. Due to tight production timelines, excellent communication and attention to detail are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates passionate about educational content and learning more about the world.
Work Model
- Remote (UK-based)
- Studio-based (Worcester office)
- Hybrid approach available
Contract: Freelance (part-time), starting asap (mid-December) Hours: Flexible, managed per script
Responsibilities
- Understand the brand: Ensure alignment with show’s themes, tone, and audience when sourcing visual content.
- Source stock footage:研究Episode outlines and scripts to find appropriate stock footage for segments, ensuring comprehensive exploration of all possible sources.
- Editor collaboration: Respond quickly to editor requests during assembly stages for additional materials.
- Design and storyboard support: Identify accurate image references, graphics, and concepts for designers and artists.
- Accuracy and inclusivity: Verify materials are factually correct, culturally sensitive, and diverse.
- Efficient sourcing management: Maintain clear records of materials for reporting and future reference.

Requirements
- 1 previous credit in research or a related role (preferred but not essential)
- Proven ability to deliver efficient research, with strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft package tools (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
- Excellent diary/time management to accommodate tight deadlines
