We’re constantly seeking talented new colleagues to join our journey. We’re now looking for a Reservations and Events Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover) to join our team at Hampton by Hilton Manchester City, Northern Quarter.

This exciting role will support the Reservations & Events Manager while collaborating closely with the Director of Sales and Senior Management Team.


About the Role

The Reservations and Events Co-ordinator will work at Hampton by Hilton Manchester City, within the vibrant Northern Quarter area. You’ll provide crucial support in ensuring smooth operations for the hotel’s reservations and events bookings.


What Are We Looking For?

Technical Skills & Qualifications

We’re seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented individual with relevant reservations or sales experience (or ready to take the next step in this area). Training will encompass the hotel’s reservation system.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience: Preference for four-star hospitality experience, ideally in reservations or sales teams.
  • Proposals: Ability to handle electronic proposal fulfilment (e.g., RFQs), though training will be provided.
  • Sales & Operations: Proven track record working across all levels to optimise hotel performance.
  • Admin Skills: Exceptional Microsoft application proficiency (Word, Excel), literal and numerical skills, and administration/execution proficiency with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical Competency: ONQ knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory—training provided.

Key Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities centre on ensuring seamless reservations and client interactions, including:

  • Prepare and present house business performance figures at daily morning meetings (acting in place of the Manager).
  • Liaise with Reception regarding no-shows and follow up with necessary actions.
  • Handle all telephone enquiries professionally in line with company standards.
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings with speed and accuracy.
  • Settle and track leads with relation to the Sales team.
  • Compile and finalise customer contracts.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of room types, hotel amenities, pricing structures and offender promotional dates.
  • Directly interface with hotel reservation systems, confirming all entries on integration software.
  • Furnish updates to the Events Department Manager to streamline hotel operational flow.
  • Alert Front Office & specialist departments of high-value bookings/VIPs and amendments accordingly.
  • Manage callendars, cancellations and amendments as per business protocols.
