Works closely alongside Front Office team to manage transient reservations.

To manage and coordinate all hotel reservations, ensuring guests receive an efficient, professional, and welcoming service from the point of booking through to arrival. The role is responsible for maximising room occupancy, maintaining accurate reservation records, supporting revenue targets, and delivering excellent guest experiences in line with Marriott brand standards.

Candidates will have the ability to motivate the team, deliver exceptional results whilst ensuring the business integrity and processes are followed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include

  • Account Management: Assisting with corporate travel accounts, wholesalers, and preferred travel agencies to drive individual bookings.
  • Reservation Coordination: Overseeing guest requests, room upgrades, and ensuring special amenity requests are communicated to the front office and housekeeping.
  • Rate and Inventory Loading: Working with Opera and Marsha to update rates, manage rooming lists and dining options.
  • Pre-Arrival Planning: Liaising with guests and travel advisors to ensure smooth pre-arrival and on-site experiences.

Job Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Manage daily hotel reservations via telephone, email, online booking platforms, and third-party systems.
  • Answer any guest queries regarding their reservations through telephone, email or online travel agents.
  • Process new bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests accurately.
  • Maintain accurate availability and pricing information within the hotel property management system (PMS).
  • Monitor room availability and work with management to maximise occupancy and revenue opportunities.
  • Manages revenue, hotel inventory and profitability associated with transient bookings.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
  • Helps and supports associates in solving problems and accomplishing work objectives.
  • Utilizes all available on the job training tools for associates; implements and manages training initiatives and conducts training when appropriate.
  • Effectively ensures the constant up-selling of products and services throughout the booking process by the Front Office team.
  • Conducts effective client site visits.
  • Knowledge of other job roles within the team, to be able to assist in case of absence
  • Continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the team goals to produce desired results.
  • Assists with the driving of the hotels guest satisfaction surveys and Bonvoy sign ups and delivers required training and guidance when needed.
