Resettlement Co-ordinator

Location

HMP Fosse Way, Leicester, LE18 4TN

Salary & Benefits

£32,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm).

About the Role

Ready to impact a better future? As a Resettlement Co-ordinator in our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals prepare for life after custody. Your work will link prisoners to essential resettlement services—quarters for accommodation, finance, identity checks, employment pathways, and community support—while ensuring pre-release preparations are completed professionally.

This high-purpose role fosters rehabilitation and reintegration through cross-team collaboration (internal and external partners). By breaking down reoffending cycles, you’ll build trust and deliver measurable outcomes for individuals and local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily resettlement support—providing prisoners with timely, accurate guidance on available counselling, qualifications, funding, and life skills.
  • Coordinate and complete Resettlement Additional Policy Process (APP) assessments, tracking needs and ensuring outcomes are addressed.
  • Support prisoners with practical resettlement needs, including:
    • Managing finances/banking arrangements
    • Securing accommodation and identification
    • Linking to employment opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records (electronic systems, case files, trackers) in compliance with regulations and audit requirements.
  • Conduct regular block-level visits to engage directly with prisoners, assess emerging needs, and promote available support.
  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Internal departments (e.g. Probation, Healthcare, Education)
    • External partners (charities, belonging services, employers)
  • Support specialist interventions, peer mentoring programs, and operational functions (e.g. the Departure Lounge).
  • Act as the primary point of contact—ensuring clear, coordinated communication across services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
