Residence Life Warden (Non-Residential)

Residential Services – Non-Residential Residence Life Warden (Fixed-Term Position)

This role is available exclusively to current University of Leeds staff. Should there be no internal appointment, this position may be advertised externally.

About the Role

A fixed-term contract (up to 14 July 2028), based at the University of Leeds campus, with the possibility of flexible working arrangements discussed.

Honorarium: £8,012.04 (per annum)


Location & Responsibilities

This role covers White Rose View and The Plaza, two accommodation residences housing undergraduate students. As a non-residential Residence Life Warden, your core responsibilities include:

  • Pastoral Care & Student Welfare

    • Providing pastoral support and maintaining discipline for residents.
    • Promoting a conducive and supportive environment to help students thrive academically.

    • Collaborating with residents to foster community engagement.
    • Ensuring students feel well-supported during their studies.
  • Supervision

    • Coordinating and guiding Residence Life Assistants in your assigned halls.

Requirements

Eligibility & Experience

✔ Employees currently working at the University of Leeds. ✔ Demonstrated experience working or engaging with students, preferably as a personal tutor or counsellor. ✔ Fully Basic DBS checked (mandatory for this role).
