Are you an experienced Resident Engagement Officer looking to develop your career with an award-winning, forward-thinking charity?


About the Role

You will help support the delivery of high-quality resident engagement across ExtraCare’s villages and schemes, ensuring residents have meaningful opportunities to influence services, shape decisions, and contribute to vibrant, inclusive communities.

Working closely with the Housing and Resident Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Promote resident voice
  • Support Resident Forums and Associations
  • Gather and analyse feedback
  • Turn resident insight into practical service improvements, aligned with ExtraCare’s vision of better lives for older people

Role Details

Post: Resident Engagement Officer Hours: 37.5 per week (Full-time / Permanent) Location: Head Office (Coventry, CV3 2SN) / ExtraCare locations as required Salary: £37,500 per annum


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Housing and Resident Engagement Manager in implementing ExtraCare’s resident engagement framework, ensuring residents shape decisions about homes, services, and communities.
  • Overseer Resident Forums, resident groups, and engagement events, including:
    • Coordinating meetings, agendas, minute-taking, and action follow-ups
    • Ensuring transparent and timely action tracking
  • Promote broad and diverse resident participation, encouraging engagement from all residents, including underrepresented groups.
  • Establish and sustain Resident Associations, providing guidance, learning sessions, and operational support.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret feedback from:
    • Forums, surveys, complaints/compliments, local events, and informal discussions
    • Identify key themes and service improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with operational teams to:
    • Communicate resident feedback effectively
    • Feedback into service planning, policy, and continuous improvement
