Job Description
Role: #serviceengineers
To carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, while maintaining documentation of all works carried out in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at client premises.
- Occasionally involve working off-site when required.
- Monitor and count site stock to ensure sufficient supplies for daily fleet maintenance.
- Conduct inspections and monitor the safety of repaired and maintained trucks.
- Complete the following documentation on time:
- Job sheets
- Timesheets
- Purchase requisitions and parts paperwork
- Ensure full responsibility for all equipment and tooling (including van, laptop, printer, etc.)**, maintaining a safe condition for the work type.
- Adhere to strict planned schedules and deadlines.

Required Knowledge and Skills
The role requires experience or keen willingness for additional training in at least one of the following areas:
- Mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Hydraulics

- Operate to a high standard, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.

Person Specification
Essential Skills/Experience
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Be proficient in fault-finding and repairs.
- Have GCSE grades (or equivalent) in English and maths (Grade C or higher).
- Experience with Health & Safety requirements in a workshop environment.
- Commitment to personal and professional development.
- Strong organisational skills; solution-driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task while prioritising workloads for deadlines.
- Experience working independently or collaboratively.
- Possess clear consultation and negotiation skills.
- Show flexibility for diverse role responsibilities.
- Highly self-motivated, resilient under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.

Desirable Skills/Experience
- Relevant recent experience in the forklift truck service environment (not essential).
- Engineering qualification (preferred).

Hours
- Monday – Friday (shift pattern discussed at interview).
