Job Description
About the Role
This post will involve working as part of a team of doctors covering the specialties of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Junior Staff are expected to make themselves available to cover in cases of occasion all emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
Opportunities are available to attend day surgery and main theatre lists as well as working in Gynaecology emergency inpatients, labour ward and our post natal ward.
Regular training and other meetings are held in the department and juniors are encouraged to present audit and research which they have undertaken. Where possible, timetables will be modified to meet the training needs of the individual appointed.
To support the inpatient service in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Warwick Hospital
Research, Education, Audit and Continuing Professional Development
- To take responsibility for continuing professional education in accordance with guidelines set out by the appropriate college/faculty/professional body.
- To initiate and participate in research and audit programmes in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- To work in collaboration with colleagues in developing skills to provide new ways of working across different professions, organisations i.e. community/primary care.
