Residential Addictions Service Manager
Department: Senior Management and Leadership
Location: Horizon House
Compensation: £55,000 - £65,000 / year
Description
Lead the launch of a new residential addiction service and shape something from the ground up.
Priory Group is opening Horizon House in Nottingham, and we’re looking for a Residential Addiction Service Manager to play a pivotal role in bringing it to life. This service is part of our therapy-led model of addiction treatment, placing clinical excellence and personalised recovery at the centre of everything we do.
This is an opportunity to build and lead a brand-new service location, creating a high-performing team and setting the standard for quality, culture and outcomes from day one.
As part of our expanding network of residential addiction services, Horizon House will deliver our pioneering Flourish programme in a calm, therapeutic environment designed for recovery.
Key Responsibilities
As Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of this therapy-led residential service, creating a safe, supportive and high-performing environment for both clients and colleagues.
- You’ll play a central role in shaping the culture and direction of the service—ensuring high standards of care, strong team engagement, and positive outcomes for the people we support, including those with addiction and, in some cases, neurodiversity.
- Alongside leading your team, you’ll take ownership of operational performance, ensuring the service is well-run, sustainable and positioned for long-term success, aligned with regulatory requirements and organisational standards set by Priory Group.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
