About The Opportunity

An exciting leadership opportunity awaits at Carinity Brownesholme in Highfields. As the Residential Aged Care Manager, you will provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care that upholds residents’ dignity, choice, and independence.

Reporting to the General Manager – Residential Aged Care, you will be accountable for overall home performance, including workforce leadership, financial management, quality and compliance oversight, occupancy outcomes, risk management, and continuous improvement. Your Day-to-day Will Involve

  • Leading day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care aligned with Carinity’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Providing leadership and oversight to multidisciplinary teams including nursing, care, hospitality, lifestyle, chaplaincy, administration, and support services.
  • Driving compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Code of Conduct, and all relevant legislative regulatory requirements.
  • Managing workforce planning, staffing, rosters, care minutes, performance development, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Leading quality, safety, and risk management activities including incident management, complaints resolution, audits, continuous improvement programs, and accreditation readiness.
  • Managing home budgets, occupancy performance, resource allocation, and funding optimization strategies to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Oversight of clinical governance, resident wellbeing, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and service quality outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to foster trust, transparency, and excellent resident experiences.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience managing a Residential Aged Care home, with responsibility for operational, workforce, quality, and financial outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Quality Standards, governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams while fostering a positive, accountable, and values-driven workplace culture.
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy targets, workforce planning, care minutes, and resource allocation within a residential aged care environment.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, continuous improvement, incident and complaints management, and accreditation processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) qualification with AHPRA registration (preferred)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
