Residential Care Assistant | Part time | Cravenside Residential Care Home | Barnoldswick

Owner or Team Leader/H deferendente:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of family day centre including staffing, budgeting, health and safety, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to service development, welcoming new referrals and participating in policy review.
  • Train, recommend, and support all staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure the education of new staff is completed (Family sólo-care Certificate and Fire Awareness training).

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, train, mentor and support owners and team members to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Support and provide advice to carers and families.
  • Ensure care values are promoted within the team.
  • Lead reviews of care plans, ensuring they recognise holistically person-centred families’ needs and view person held assessments.
  • Ensure shift plans are adequate and that staff rotas support enhanced services.
  • Proactively engage with parents, carers and other agency representatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing families workforce.
  • Must be clear about and support OMCA’s vision & practices.
  • Ability to respond to criticism constructively and willingly to acknowledged own mistakes.

The morning day centre opening hours in weekdays it will require to not be flexible with covering minimum two eight hour shift weeks within the service offer:

  • Monday to Friday 10:30 am-3:00 pm flexi shift (Monday/Friday shift preference)

Special Requirements/Hస:

  • Valid driving license desirable (limited/off street centre).
  • Resilience, problem-solving skills, ability to influence families with complex needs in the resource poor environment and drive the service forward.
  • Communication skills, leadership & delegation.
  • Commitment to person-centred approach and ability to transport referrals.
  • Prioritisation, good health, understanding of a multi-agency teamwork and maintaining a positive mindset.
