Residential Care Assistant | Part time | Cravenside Residential Care Home | Barnoldswick

Care Support Worker (Part-Time, 16 Hours – Evenings) – Barnoldswick

Salary: £25,949 per annum (pro-rata for part-time, 16 hours/week) Contract: Permanent, part-time, 16 hours per week (evenings) Location: Barnoldswick, Lancashire Note: Not open to international sponsorship.

About the Role

You will be joining Older People Care Services, a team dedicated to enhancing the well-being of over 1,000 adults across Lancashire. Our services include:

  • 16 care homes
  • 13 day centres

where our staff provide compassionate, dignified, and personalised support for older adults, individuals living with dementia, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

This part-time role (16 hours/week, evenings) focuses on delivering high-quality direct care to meet individual needs. Your duties may include:

  • Assisting older people with daily living activities, ensuring dignity and independence.
  • Providing emotional and practical support, tailored to each person’s preferences.
  • Supporting individuals with dementia and long-term health conditions.
  • Contributing to a warm, inclusive, and responsive care environment.
  • Following safeguarding protocols and documenting care accurately.

Requirements

  • Eager to learn and demonstrate compassion, patience, and ** lbs** with older people.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., using care management software).
  • Requirement for a DBS disclosure (aligned with Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974).
  • Must provide evidence of experience/education on application to prove suitability.
