Proven Home Manager – Specialist Care (40-Bedded Home) – Shaw Healthcare

Key Details
- Salary: £44,000 (rising to £47,500 upon successful completion of probation)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Location: At our 40-bedded specialist care home

Objectives
In this role, you will:
- Utilise authentic leadership, role modelling, and inspirational skills to motivate staff and deliver excellent quality of care.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service with 24-hour accountability for delivering care to service users.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, including financial performance monitoring and maintaining high occupancy levels.
- Promote independence, choice, and personalisation for service users.
- Strict adherence to regulatory and legislative requirements, including CQC registration and NMC guidelines.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive role model, fostering an approachable and visible leadership style across all team levels.

- Implement thorough recruitment policies, ensuring professional treatment of candidates and a comprehensive onboarding process.

General Management Duties
- Oversee service budgets and achieve key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., environmental health, health & safety).
- Support service users in managing their finances, maintaining accurate financial records.
- If appointed as a financial controller for any service user, ensure fair and ethical financial oversight.
- Promote a culture of meaningful activities, empowering the team to facilitate engagement.
Essential Requirements
A successful candidate should embody:
- Caring and compassionate qualities
- Proven experience in managing a similar care service (preferably within a comparable client group)
