Who We Are
Our expanding Children's Residential Service is shaping a brighter future for children and young people aged 11–17. Through new residential homes and developments, we’re seeking dedicated Residential Child Care Workers who share our mission:
- Exceptional care: We believe every child deserves tailored support, rooted in trust and lifelong relationships.
- Inspiration through creativity: We foster fun, activities (indoor & outdoor), and holistic development—helping individuals thrive in all areas of life.
About the Role
As a Residential Child Care Worker, you’ll live and work in a childrens’ home, contributing to daily life where children cannot safely remain with their families (e.g., trauma, adverse experiences).
Key Responsibilities:
- Residential living: Live-in role with children, handling household chores (cooking, cleaning, shopping).
- Emotional support: Build trust through one-on-one work, addressing feelings, behaviours, and challenges.
- Collaborative care: Partner with professionals (social workers, schools, police, health teams) to ensure a child’s needs are met.
- Flexible shifts: Work will include days, evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties, and rota coverage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
