Residential Childcare Worker
Location: Castle Douglas
Salary: £25,642.50 to £26,032.50 p.a. plus £67.50 per sleep-in (Approx. 10 sleeps per month → ~£8000+ additional per year)
Essential: Full UK driving license Visa sponsorship unavailable for this role.

What You’ll Do
Your role involves daily interactions to help young people thrive, including:
- Assisting with daily routines, such as prepping for school, meal times, and activities
- Maintaining a warm, homely environment through light housekeeping tasks
- Building strong, trusting relationships and providing emotional support
- Planning and leading fun activities, including:
- Parks & nature trips
- Movie nights (popcorn forever!)
- Creative projects
- Recording accurate care documentation using an electronic system
- Experience with Clearcare is a plus, but full training will be provided
All staff must confidently use digital systems as part of daily operations.
Where You’ll Work
ACAD Torrs consists of 5 residential homes supporting up to 9 young people. Our focus is on:
