Marshfield’s

Marshfield’s is a Short Break Residential home based in West Lynn providing short breaks for young people with disabilities and/or complex health needs aged 5 to 18 yrs.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Residential Children’s Practitioner (RCP) Level 1, to work waking nights. You will work amongst a team of staff who are committed to providing a child-centred, fun, and positive environment for the children. We are looking for an individual who has experience and knowledge of working with children with a diverse range of individual needs including young people who are neurodiverse.

Many of the young people who access Marshfield’s for short term breaks have complex health needs that include gastrostomy feeds, epilepsy, and administering medication. You will be required to provide personal care to the young people we support ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect. This is a hands-on role within the home with children who may require physical intervention. You will need the ability to engage in active play, provide creative activities as well as undertaking manual handling.
