Company Description

The Ark Respite is an OFSTED registered Children's Home based in Redcar, providing residential short breaks for children and young people with disabilities. Our aim is to offer child-centred experiences in a safe and caring environment, while allowing families a much-needed break. The centre opened in 2023 and includes soft play, sensory room, and many features for a fun stay. With plans to increase capacity, we welcome like-minded, care-focused individuals to join our team.

Role Description

We have openings for full and part-time positions on both our day and night staff. Respite Workers are responsible for providing care and support to children and young people with disabilities. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the children's daily routines, engaging in activities, ensuring their safety, and supporting their developmental needs. You will work closely with families to provide regular updates and support and become a focused keyworker.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
